Sellwood ADU8 PHOTOS This addition and renovation creates separate living space, and a new second home, for a pair of busy, out-of-state grandparents. The new space is designed to allow multiple generations to remain close, while also maintaining their privacy and independence. Traditional details that connect the addition to the main house are complimented with more contemporary features like stained concrete floors, metal roofing, and aluminum windows.

A new, open, light-filled stairwell now leads to a fully renovated 2nd floor. A new shed dormer nearly doubles the amount of floor space and accommodates a new bathroom.

A new three-story stairwell accesses a completely revised second floor layout, made more spacious with the addition of a large dormer facing the street. The second floor includes three bedrooms, including a master suite; vaulted ceilings; an additional bath; and ample built-in storage.
